Parent Morning Out (PMO)

We are now accepting applications for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Applications will be processed on a first come first serve basis. Once you have filled out the application form please call the director, Candace Barquero, at 601-408-0299 to ensure that your child is placed into a class and/or to schedule a tour.

Program Information

Welcome to Sacred Heart Parent Morning Out!

We offer a two day a week program for children where they are able to learn through play, crafts and interacting with other children and adults in a safe and loving environment. Our focus is teaching kids about the love of God and the love of others.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church – Parent Morning Out

For the 2024-25 School Year

The Sacred Heart Parent Morning Out Program is now accepting registration for the new school year. We offer a structured program and learning experience for young children, babies to 5 years old in a Catholic setting through a variety of daily activities.

-PMO meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Sacred Heart Early Childhood Annex, located at 306 Walnut Street, Hattiesburg. We also provide the option of staying for lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

-Sessions begin in September and end in May. PMO follows the Sacred Heart School calendar and will be closed during any school holidays or severe weather days.

-A sample of activities in a typical day at PMO would include:

8:00- 9:00 Free Play
9:00-9:30 Circle Time (morning prayer, songs, and stories)
9:30-10:00 Snack Time (snacks provided unless children have food allergies)
10:00-11:00 Crafts, Activities, and Games related to the day’s lesson/theme
11:00-12:00 Outside Play Time

-Children do not need to be potty-trained, and we work with them when they are ready.

-Children should bring a change of clothes to school each day as well as a filled leak proof, spill proof cup with their name clearly labeled on all of their belongings. Bloomers or shorts should be worn with dresses so that undergarments are covered.

Fees

- Registration and Supply Fee $75 per child (due at registration)

All registration and supply fees are due annually and are non-refundable.

The Registration and Supply Fee covers snacks, crafts, and other materials needed for the year.

Parents have the opportunity for their children to stay for our aftercare session from 12 - 3. The cost is $5 an hour and children can be picked up any time before 3 pm. The final cost for the month is added to the bill for the following month.

If you are planning to register your child for the 2024-25 school year, please fill out the following registration form electronically and either 1) drop off your payment to the Church office or 2) Mail your payment to the church office at 313 Walnut St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Please be sure to notate on your payment that this is for Parent's Morning Out.
